West Bend Man Takes Blow Torch to Girlfriend's Clothes Over Macaroni and Cheese

A West Bend man allegedly set fire to his girlfriend’s clothes because they had gotten into a fight over eating macaroni and cheese.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple was fighting in the basement over the boyfriend eating his girlfriend’s macaroni cheese when the incident occurred.

The two were in the girlfriend’s grandparent’s home.

According to the complaint, the man was intoxicated and placed a blow torch near the clothing as a threat.

The clothing caught fire along with the carpeting in the room.

The fire department was called to the scene to put out the fire, and the man’s preliminary breath test was .212.

On scene, the girlfriend allegedly yelled at officers and called them pigs. She was cited for resisting an officer.

He was charged with arson of property, negligent handling of burning material and criminal damage to property.
