West Allis 'Snow Angels' program pairs volunteers with neighbors in need of snow removal

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A program in West Allis is encouraging neighbors to help each other this winter season.

The Snow Angels program pairs volunteers with adults aged 55+ or those with disabilities who need help clearing snow from public walks, driveways or alleys.

According to the city, volunteers will be assigned to a neighbor in need who lives no more than a 10-minute walk from your address, although you may volunteer to travel a further distance if you'd like.

Neighbors are expected to have a snow shovel and salt available for their Snow Angel.
