Welcome to the weekend! After a few fall-feel days with highs in the 60s and lots of wind we will hold onto the wind but see temperatures warm back up. Highs on Friday should reach the middle to upper 70s - about 10* warmer than Thursday. The wind will stay strong with gusts out of the southwest to 30 mph. The sunny start to Friday ends as clouds increase during the afternoon and showers and storms roll through in the evening. A cold front will push across our area between 6 PM to midnight from west to east.
The rain will mostly be showers but some pockets of heavy rain are likely. A few embedded thunderstorms are also possible but strong or severe storms are not expected. If you have some evening plans like Harvest Fair or Friday Night Football make sure to grab the rain gear. The showers and isolated storms should drop about a quarter to half inch of rain for most of our local area.
The rest of the weekend looks fantastic! Clouds will clear out after the rain ends Friday night with a nice mix of sun and clouds both Saturday and Sunday. Highs on Saturday will be a little cooler after the front around 70 and breezy. Sunday will be warmer in the upper 70s but with a little less wind and no humidity despite the warmer temps.
