BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) – The CBS 58 Tailgate Game of the Week is headed to Burlington on Friday for the Demons’ game against the Westosha Central Falcons.
It is perfect timing too as Burlington native Tony Romo comes back to Wisconsin to call the Packers games on CBS 58.
It turns out Romo is more than just a broadcaster and pro-bowl quarterback. He’s also a mentor.
“I talked to him for a while when he was back in town for his camp. Also, a couple of open gyms he came and talked to me and played with the guys. When he’s here he definitely tries to teach me as much as possible and act the right way and be the best athlete I can be,” says senior quarterback Nick Klug.
“I did talk to him a little bit. He talked to Nick a lot because of the quarterback thing but he’s always around coaching up, giving tips to everybody, it’s just fun to be around a guy like that,” says senior RB/DB Grant Tully.
See highlights from Friday’s game, along with highlights from other games around the area during the CBS 58 Endzone at 10:00 p.m.
