FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) – It’s a division one slugfest as undefeated Franklin prepares to take on 3-1 Oak Creek in our CBS 58 Tailgate Game of the Week.
Battling in a playoff rematch between two top ten teams, the Sabres outlasted the Knights 31-28 in the second round last year. This season they come into the showdown red hot, outscoring opponents by an average of 42 to four.
“It’s a great rivalry; one of the better ones in the state, and for sure one of the best in the area. It’ll be very exciting. Great atmosphere. Might be standing room only,” says Franklin Head Coach Louis Brown.
“Going to youth football days it’s always been when you are playing Oak Creek there’s just something about it every year when you get to play them you get those butterflies in the stomach and you know it’s going to be a great game,” says Franklin Quarterback Max Alba.
Stay tuned for highlights from this game and others around southeastern Wisconsin during the CBS 58 Endzone on Friday night at 10.
