Chilly Election Day, then wintry mix and showers return
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An impressive turnout unfolded Saturday, Nov. 6, for WE Energies Cookie Book giveaway at American Family Field
Organizers say cars were in line for the event as early as 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning with around 25,000 books expected to be handed out.
The cookie book is a tradition that's been around the local community for approximately 90 years.
WE Energies President Tom Metcalfe told CBS 58 that carrying on the tradition is something WE Energies is proud to provide.
"So many of our customers and our families come here because for them, this is really the start of the family holiday season. So they're excited, we're excited," said Metcalfe.
This year's book celebrates Military Service by sharing recipes from members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
If you missed out on today's event, We Energies will be giving out the recipe books at the Washington County Fair Park on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
