West Bend snow removal crews prepare for significant snow
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--You always hear us say it. This is one for the record books. Well, in 2023, we really meant it. It was the warmest year on record. Plus look at some, if not all, of the records broken in just the last month. Incredible! It's interesting. For the year, we were about an inch above normal with the snowfall. Close to 50". But for the month of December, we have a 10.4" deficit. For the season, it's almost 9 inches!
Warmest December on record
Record number of days in the 40s or warmer
Record number of nights above freezing
Every day was above freezing (2nd time ever)
No measurable snow
Looking ahead this week, we stay on the mild side of things. Expect highs in the 30s with little if any chance of precipitation. The pattern seems to get more active next week. Of course the CBS 58 Ready Weather team will be tracking it.
