Wauwatosa Woman Arrested for Fourth OWI After Throwing Beer Cans Out Window

A Wauwatosa woman was arrested for her fourth OWI after throwing beer cans out the window of a vehicle and then pulling over and speeding away twice.

According to West Bend Police on Saturday around 11:00 AM, an area resident reported a motor vehicle parked on the street occupied by two individuals who were consuming beer and throwing their beer cans out of the vehicle onto the adjacent lawn.

A responding Officer located the vehicle, pulled up behind the vehicle and activated the squad’s emergency lights.

When the officer approached the vehicle on foot the driver sped away.

The officer pursued the vehicle for a short distance and the vehicle pulled over and stopped, but then sped off again. The vehicle continued down several more city streets before the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, drove onto a lawn of an area home and struck a parked motor vehicle in the driveway.

The driver, a 35 year old Wauwatosa woman, was found to be intoxicated, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, and was arrested for OWI - 4Th Offense, Fleeing an Officer, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Operating After Revocation, Open Intoxicants in Motor Vehicle, and a Probation Violation, as she is currently on probation for OWI. There were no injuries attributed to this incident.
