WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dozens of people who live in a Wauwatosa neighborhood gathered Thursday night, Aug. 20, to learn more about a proposed high end, high-rise apartment complex that could be coming to the area.
The meeting was at Mo's Irish Pub at Highway 100 and Bluemound Road.
The owner there also owns the lot across the street that once housed a pizza restaurant, but has been vacant for years.
He's proposing a $50 million, 20-story luxury apartment tower with 350 units and retail space.
Some neighbors are not excited.
"I think the property will be a nice asset, I think it will attract young professionals and people who are retiring, moving out of their homes, but want to stay in the neighborhood," said developer John Vassallo.
The proposal is still in the very early stages.
No plans have been formally submitted to the city of Wauwatosa yet.
