Waukesha-based medic unit slated for Middle East deployment this spring

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Nearly 60 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers are getting ready to deploy to the Middle East in the coming months.

The Waukesha-based 135th Medical Company will head to Kuwait and Iraq this spring to provide medical support for U.S. service members and allied forces.

Soldiers from the 135th Medical Company were among the first to mobilize in March last year as part of the state's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
