Waterford woman, 28, killed after being hit by a dump truck in Town of Burlington

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 28-year-old Waterford woman was killed after crashing her car into a dump truck Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1:40 p.m. near Durand and English Settlement Avenue in the Town of Burlington.

According to police, a 2015 Toyota Sedan was northbound on CTH J. The sedan stopped at a stop sign and then drove directly into the path of a dump truck which did not have a stop sign and had the right of way.

The driver of the sedan, a 28-year-old female from the Waterford area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The dump truck driver was treated for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Names are not being released pending notification of family members.
