Walworth County Deputies Find Marijuana Grow Operation and Shrooms

At approximately 9:35 AM on Wednesday, June 8, deputies of the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at W7568 Ethelyn Drive in the Town of Richmond. 

No one was home at the time of the warrant service. 

During the search warrant deputies recovered 32 live marijuana plants in various stages of development from a growing room in the basement, 931.6 grams, or approximately two pounds, of marijuana in various stages of processing, 7.95 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, a hunting rifle kept immediately outside the growing room and several grow lights and other paraphernalia used for indoor marijuana cultivation

Justin Evans, 40-years-old, was later arrested and charged with manufacture of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC), possession of THC, possession of Psilocybin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
