Walmart alters mask policy

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Walmart has dropped its mask mandate for all vaccinated emplyees.

Unvaccinated employees and those who work in pharmacies will still be required to wear them.

The changes go into effect for all stores unless it's required by the state or local government.

In addition, the COVID-19 sick day policy is being eliminated.

The big box store had previously given employees extra paid time off beyond sick leave.

The sick day policy ends in March.
