Voting Now Open for Hunger Task Force to Win $50,000

Hunger Task Force is pleased to announce that it is one of ten nonprofit organizations selected to compete in WaterStone Bank’s video promotion for a grand-prize donation of $50,000, according to a press release sent out Monday.

WaterStone Bank is celebrating 95 years of giving back to the communities they serve by recognizing local nonprofits who are making Milwaukee and beyond a better place to live.

Participants were asked to submit a one-minute video that made a compelling case for why their nonprofit organization is making a difference in the community.

WaterStone Bank chose the top ten video submissions and posted them to their website Monday morning. The general public is now able to vote for their favorite video. Voting runs from May 23 – May 31 and is limited to one vote per day per person based on IP address. The nonprofit organization receiving the most votes will be the first place winner. The winners among the remaining participants included in the voting will be determined by the number of votes received in a sequential high to low order.

Winners will be notified on June 8 by WaterStone Bank. Winners of the promotion will receive a donation in the following amounts: 1st place: $50,000, 2nd place: $10,000, 3rd place: $10,000, 4th place: $5,000, 5th place: $5,000 and five others with $3,000 donations each.

“Hunger Task Force has been feeding local families for more than 40 years. We’re excited WaterStone Bank has recognized us as an agency that makes our community a better place to live. We have a great story to tell and are hoping that gets us the winning votes,” said Sherrie Tussler, Executive Director of Hunger Task Force. “A big congratulations to the folks at WaterStone Bank on serving the community for 95 years,” Tussler added.
