MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In Milwaukee, dozens of people came out for a community-wide cleanup event Saturday, April 24.
Volunteers spent the morning cleaning up Sherman Park and surrounding areas.
The event was called make Milwaukee Green Again.
Erica Odom, one of the event's organizers, said today's cleanup aims to promote positive environmental habits that will hopefully make a lasting impact.
"Although we're out here cleaning up, we're trying to make this a positive movement in the community and hopefully encourage and uplift people and let them know that there is still hope for positivity and there are people are out here today doing positive things" said Odom.
Odom says she plans to do more community events like this in the future.
