Milwaukee’s Downtown Dining Week officially underway
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Parents with babies getting treatment at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin are getting a reminder that they're not alone.
United Healthcare employees spent the afternoon putting together care packages for parents with babies in the hospital's NICU.
The care packages were started by the organization 'Today is a Good Day.'
The organization was founded by a woman whose twins spent time in the hospital.
The care packages include a book, journal, and specially-made fabric squares which help families bond with their babies through smell.
Volunteers donated 850 packages today.
