MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- People on Milwaukee's near west-side neighborhood have a new option for fresh produce.
Instead of a traditional farmers' market, the community launched the "Vliet Street Oasis."
It's an urban produce stand located at the corner of 38th and Vliet Street.
The Oasis offers fresh produce and gives local farmers and businesses the opportunity to sell their products safely during the pandemic.
"f you have a neighborhood that doesn't have healthy sources for food, whats the neighborhood going to do? So I think it's doing many, many things for the neighborhood, it's bringing people together over positive things, we need that right now," said Pay Mueller, organizer.
The Oasis will be open through the end of October.
