MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee previewed a weekend of exciting events in the area when he joined us on Thursday, Aug. 8.
Wheels & Water will take place at Discovery World on Sunday, Aug. 11. This free outdoor event will feature large machinery and interactive exhibits, including Milwaukee Muscle and shows by Mermaid Echo at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 at Lakeshore State Park, featuring dragon boat races, cultural performances and food vendors.
Rum Fest 2024 will be held at Thelma Carol Wine Merchants on Saturday, Aug. 10. Attendees can sample various rums and enjoy food from Las Virellas Puerto Rican food truck. Tickets are $50 per person.
Anime 414 will take place at the Baird Center from Aug. 10 to Aug. 11. This convention celebrates anime culture with voice-over celebrities, autograph opportunities and vendors.
