Village of Slinger woman, 26, dies following head-on crash in West Bend

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 26-year-old woman from the Village of Slinger died following a head-on crash in West Bend on Tuesday, Sept. 8. 

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, around 10:24 p.m., a southbound vehicle on Cty Tk Z lost control on a curve and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then veered and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. 

The operator of the southbound vehicle, identified as 26-year-old Jamie Lee Boysen of Slinger, was transported to Froedtert West Bend Hospital by West Bend Rescue and later transferred to Froedtert Wauwatosa with critical injuries. Authorities say she died from her injuries on Sept. 9. 

The other driver, a 63-year-old Slinger woman, was transported to Aurora Medical Center Grafton with minor injuries.

The northbound lane of Cty Tk Z was shut down during the initial investigation and a full closure of the intersection was later required; lasting for approximately three hours.

Speed and weather conditions were believed to be factors in the crash.
