MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee tree cutter is now struggling to finish jobs after he says all of his chainsaws were stolen from his garage in the Washington Heights neighborhood.
The suspect broke in through a door around 4 a.m. on Dec. 17. Security cameras caught the thief in the act.
The video shows the thief removing chainsaws from the garage near 47th and Vine, and walking them down the driveway.
In total, Jeff Bauske said the thief got away with all nine of his chainsaws that together are worth more than $3,000.
“Someone that is a small business owner, that’s my livelihood,” Bauske said. “It’s like you pretty much took everything from me.”
Bauske is a tree cutter and without the saws, he is out of work.
“I have $11,000 worth of work just sitting there from all week,” he said.
Bauske said he has insurance, but he is hoping sharing the video and spreading the word will lead to an arrest.
“I don’t want them to do this to anyone else,” Bauske said.
If you have information, you're asked to contact Milwaukee police.
