Vaccine mandate protesters demonstrate in Grafton Friday

GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A large group of protesters on Highway 60 in Grafton protested against vaccine mandates for health care workers Friday, Aug. 6.

Protesters, including children, walked along the sidewalks of Highway 60 in Grafton Friday with signage that featured writing against vaccines, vaccine mandates, masks and other COVID-19-related restrictions.

The group of protesters were primarily stationed in front of an Ascension doctor’s office in Grafton.

One protester told CBS 58 Morning Anchor Mike Curkov that the group is supporting health care workers’ right to choose.

The protests come after Ascension Health told its 160,000 associates on July 27 that the health care company will require full vaccination status by Nov. 12.
