Vacant Homes in Shorewood Burglarized

The Village of Shorewood Police Department responded to a reported garage entry in the 4400 Block on N Marlborough Dr.

According to police, the suspect entered the garage but no items were taken.

The Shorewood Police Department is also investigating a residential burglary in the 4500 Block of N. Woodburn St.

Suspects in that case made entry to both the residence and detached garage at that location.

Three burglaries in the past week have been of either vacant homes or homes where the owners have been on vacation. We ask that you check on your neighbor's homes if they are on vacation.

Shorewood Police said it is possible these occurred on the same day but that has not been able to be confirmed at this point.

The Shorewood Police Department has increased patrols in the area and will continue to maintain an increased presence in the area.
