UWM joins Amazon Career Choice program, offering some employees up to $5,250 per year in tuition

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been selected to join Amazon's Career Choice program.

Amazon employees who work hourly in Wisconsin can receive $5,250 per year in tuition for classes online or on campus.

"As an institution with a strong record of supporting and valuing working adult students, UWM is a great fit for the Amazon Career Choice program,” said Scott Gronert, UWM’s interim provost.

UWM joins more than 200 other schools nationwide as part of the program.

The goal is to give workers the opportunity to learn new skills to advance their careers at Amazon or elsewhere.
