MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's been six days since a 24-year-old mother was found shot to death inside of a car in Milwaukee, and officials across the Midwest are still searching for the suspect involved.

While Milwaukee police have not named who that suspect is, U.S. Marshals are attempting to locate Anthony Ross, 33, who is currently charged with being a felon with a gun.

Ross is also a person-of-interest in the murder of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Shadea Green, with whom he shares a child.

CBS 58 spoke with Green's mother, Iris Williams, who said Ross had been violent with her daughter before.

"He had previously broken her jaw, before when we were down here and she told us," Williams said.

U.S. Marshals said Ross and Green are both originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and they believe he may be back in that area, although officials would not clarify their reasoning.

John Gage, a supervisor with the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force, said Ross is a known gang member who has been arrested multiple times before and should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you have information about where he is, please contact Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360.
