UPDATED: Woman Fatally Hit by a Vehicle in Waukesha Identified

UPDATE: 

The victim of the fatal accident is being identified as 23 year old Megan Bock.

The family issued the following statement: “Megan Bock, 23 was a part of a loving family.  We’ve suffered a tragic loss and appreciate our privacy during this time.”

ORIGINAL: WAUKESHA - A 23-year-old female was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of HWY 164 and Sunset Blvd at a little before 6 p.m. this evening. Waukesha Police and Fire Departments arrived on scene and despite life-saving efforts, the female was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

All eastbound lanes of WIS 59 are closed at Sunset Drive in the City of Waukesha until further notice.

The investigation into the fatal traffic crash is still ongoing.
