Update: Racine homicide suspect taken into custody

Update: Racine homicide suspect Jacob W. Rogers and his girlfriend Katelyn McGraw were taken into custody without incident Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old man was wanted for fatally shooting his roommate. He was charged Tuesday before he was taken into custody.

Rogers was considered armed and dangerous. He was charged with first degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon and faces life in prison if convicted.

According to the criminal complaint, officers recovered video from the apartment complex where the shooting happened in the 500 block of Three Mile Road. The video allegedly shows a man identified as Rogers firing off a handgun into the area where the victim, identified as 27-year-old Andrew Jones, was found on a couch.

Rogers fired several shots and walked away, then turned around and fired more shots at Jones.
