UPDATE: Alleged Shooter of Three People at Community Center in Racine Arrested

On March 30, 2016 at 5:06 AM, Racine Police Special Investigations Unit personnel assisted by SWAT, COP and K9 officers executed two no-knock search warrants in the city of Racine.

Entry was made to 1534 Park Avenue and a separate address located in the 900 block of Grand Avenue. The warrants were executed in relationship to the on-going investigation into the shooting incident at the Bray Center on March 11. During this incident, three individuals were struck by gunfire.

During the course of this investigation, Zerell Strong was identified as the shooter, resulting in Strong being the target of two separate search warrants. Upon execution of the warrants, Strong was located at 1534 Park Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Strong was arrested for three counts of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Bail Jumping.
