MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Sharp Literacy's Unwrapped MKE fundraiser celebrates its 10th anniversary Thursday, May 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 3rd Street Market Hall.
Milwaukee chefs compete to create fine dining dishes using McDonald's core ingredients, with proceeds supporting Sharp's STEAM educational programming in Milwaukee-area schools.
Lynda Welsh, president and CEO of Sharp Literacy, and Chef Connor McNeil, of Joey Gerard's, a Bartolotta Supper Club, joined us on Wednesday, May 20, to discuss what Unwrapped MKE is all about. McNeil also talked about his dish, a Lobster Martini Salad, and the challenge of incorporating McDonald's ingredients into a gourmet creation.
Tickets to the event start at $100, but several sponsorship pricing options are available.
