MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The FBI Milwaukee Citizens Academy Alumni Association held the fourth annual Unsung Heroes Recognition Program Thursday.
More than 50 first responders and community members were recognized for going above and beyond in their communities.
Fallen heroes were also recognized.
Family members and friends of fallen Lake Mills Fire Captain Chris Truman, Appleton Firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard, and Milwaukee Police officers Charles Irvine Jr., Michael Michalski, and Matthew Rittner were at the ceremony and were recognized.
