Unlikely hero: Gallardo hits walk-off double as pinch hitter

MILWAUKEE - In the tenth inning, tied at 6 and with resources off the bench dwindling for both teams, the Orioles elected to walk Mark Reynolds intentionally, putting the winning run on base.

The next batter, pinch-hitter and starting rotation member Yovani Gallardo, made Baltimore pay with a run-scoring double, giving the Brewers a 7-6 extra inning win Tuesday night at Miller Park.

Gallardo was pinch-hitting for Francisco Rodriguez, who gets the win after pitching a scoreless top of the tenth.

Khris Davis, Carlos Gomez and Mark Reynolds homered for the Brewers.
