All PK-12 classes canceled at University School of Milwaukee Friday because of threats to the community

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The campus at University School of Milwaukee (USM) will be closed Friday, Dec. 10 and all classes will be canceled following several threats to the community late Thursday afternoon.

The announcement was posted to the private prep-school's website early Friday morning. It said all classes Pre-kindergarten through grade 12 are canceled, as well as all other school-day activities. A decision about the status of the campus for after-school and evening activities will be made and shared by early Friday afternoon.

USM families, faculty, and staff should view their email and monitor myUSM for additional information and updates throughout the day. Updates regarding the status of the campus will also be posted here as they are available.

12/10/21: USM Campus Currently Closed and All Classes Canceled Today

The USM campus is currently closed today, Friday, Dec. 10, and classes for students in all grades are canceled. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution following several threatening messages that were sent late yesterday afternoon to members of our community. Today's closure includes all school-day activities, and a decision about the status of the campus for after-school and evening activities will be made and shared by early afternoon.
