MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County announced the grand total of this year's community campaign on Thursday, Dec. 12.
It happens every year, starting in August and running through December.
This year, it raised money for things like teen mental health wellness and supporting families experiencing homeless.
The final tally for 2024 was more than $59.7 million.
United leaders told CBS 58 that every dollar counts.
"We have so many donors who give us $100 or $50 or one dollar a paycheck. And I really want every donor to know, when we say every donor is part of this, we mean every single dollar," said Amy Linder, press and CEO of United Way Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.
Among the highest donors, Baird, who donated $4.6 million. The T & M Partners, along with the Kelben Foundation, which gave $5 million.
