'Unique' all-pink house goes up for sale in Bay View

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Home sales have fallen to their lowest level this year, which may mean home owners are trying to set themselves apart in order to catch new buyer's eyes. There's one home in Bay View that set themselves up to sparkle, known as the 'Pink Diamond' home. Located south of Humboldt Park on E. Euclid Avenue and S. Griffin Avenue, the house stands out — painted in light pink.

But it doesn't stop there! Everything inside, is also covered in pink, transporting you to Barbie's Dream House.

"It's a unique situation. You don't come across a lot of pink houses," said real estate agent Quortney Williams.

The four bedroom, two-bathroom house is 15,527 square feet. And practically every inch of it, is pink — from the walls to kitchen appliances, furniture, bedrooms, and yes... even down to the bidet.

Williams said this house quickly got a lot of attention online, garnering thousands of shares.

So, how did this pink dream house come to be? The seller who wants to remain anonymous, bought the home in 2024 for $280,000 soon after, going for a pink theme. Williams said the owner felt it was her "childhood dream coming to life."

"I think it's more of like a love letter to her younger self and to Milwaukee of just being able to present something that's unique to us." — Quortney Williams

The house, priced at $469,000 has been on the market nearly 20 days, and Williams expects it to reach the right person soon. "It's not something that you see every day, and it's definitely going to take a specific type of buyer. Either you're going to love pink, or you're going to love what she did and the brand she built around it being a short-term rental."

The furniture inside the home could go with the buyer, to continue the pink theme for years to come.

If you want to buy this house for a rental, know that you'll have to submit an application with the City of Milwaukee, costing $427.74.
