Two Wounded in Separate Shootings Monday Night

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two shootings that happened just 20 minutes apart Monday night.  In both cases, the victims are expected to recover.

The first shooting occurred around 9:40 PM in the area of N 58th Street and W Ruby Avenue.  According to police, a 21-year-old man was shot while he was on the street.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries which do not appear to be life threatening.  The MPD is continuing to investigate the shooting.

The second shooting happened around 10 PM in an alley in the 4100 block of n 49th Street.  According to police, a 47-year-old man was shot by a known suspect who fled the scene.  The victim was taken to a local hospital for evaluation of his wounds.  The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
