Two Wounded in 4th of July Shootings

Two people were wounded in separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee Monday night.  

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 28-year-old Milwaukee man was shot by an unidentified suspect around 6:25 PM while he was seated in his car in the area of N 21st Street and W North Avenue.   A friend took the victim to a local hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.  

At 10:55 PM, an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman reported to Police that she was shot while standing front of a residence in the area of N 19th Street and W Hampton Avenue.   According to the report, the shooters were  in a passing automobile.  The woman is being treated for her non-life threatening wound at a local hospital.

The MPD is continuing to investigate both incidents.
