Two suspects from Milwaukee arrested after robbing a Mequon bank and fleeing from officers

The Mequon Police Department responded to the BMO Harris Bank this afternoon after being advised that a robbery had just occurred at their branch. 

A description of the suspect's vehicle was obtained from bank employees. Mequon officers observed the suspect vehicle westbound on Mequon Road at Cedarburg Road. A traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle accelerated away.

Mequon officers pursued the fleeing vehicle until it crashed in the area of Buntrock Avenue and Industrial Drive.

No injuries were reported to the suspects or officers.

The two suspects in custody are a male and a female from Milwaukee.

The incident remains under investigation.
