Two seriously injured in separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents. 

A 38-year-old man suffered two serious gunshot wounds while outside near N. 64th St. and W. Silver Spring Dr. around 9 p.m., Thursday night. 

Police say the suspect fled in a vehicle with another man. The victim and his friend flagged down officers patrolling in the area, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. 

The exact circumstances are still under investigation at this time, however, police say it may have been an attempted robbery.

About an hour and a half later, a 30-year-old man was driven to a local hospital for a serious gunshot wound.  The shooting happened near N. 13th St. and W. Atkinson Ave. 

The circumstances surrounding the second incident are still under investigation.
