Two people wounded overnight in separate shooting incidents

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 17, 2022, two people were wounded by gunfire in separate incidents. 

At approximately 12:18 a.m., near 31st St. and Courtland Ave., a 43-year-old Milwaukee woman, sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by gunfire. She was transported to a local hospital and she is expected to survive.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting resulted from a physical altercation.

At approximately 12:25 a.m., near Mill Road and Brentwood Ave. a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by gunfire. He was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to survive.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
