Two People Beaten, Five Robbed During Home Invasion in Racine

On Monday, March 14 at 10:53 PM, officers responded to an address in the 2100 block of Fairview Trail regarding a report of shots fired and a person dead.

Arriving officers found that no one had been shot, but two people were suffering from injuries due to being struck with a handgun. One shot was fired in the house, but nobody was hit by the bullet.

The preliminary investigation indicates that five adults were at the home when a robbery occurred. The adults were robbed by three unidentified hispanic men that entered the home and produced handguns. Two adults were beaten by a handgun when they refused to give the suspects money.

The incident is still considered an active investigation.
