MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) has two new exhibits that opened this October. The Woodland Pattern exhibit opened Monday, Oct. 10, and it brings diverse artists from around the world to one gallery at the college.
It's named after Milwaukee's Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee. The location has given poets and visual artists a place to show their work for four decades.
The exhibit includes instruments, sculptures, textiles and more.
Relative Perception, a Veteran Print Project opened earlier this month. It showcases three years of students and alums work. All of the art was inspired by conversations and relationships with area veterans.
Both exhibits are located on the river level of the school. Woodland Pattern will run through Dec. 3 and Relative Perception will run through Nov. 19.
