Two Milwaukee Men Arrested in Connection with Bugline Trail Shooting

Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 19-year-old man and 22-year-old man from Milwaukee for the shooting in Sussex on Saturday.

According to Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, the two Milwaukee men were arrested on Monday around 1:00 AM.

The men are in custody for the shooting at this time. 

As of 10:30 AM on Monday, the 16-year-old male remains in critical condition. 

According to the sheriff’s department, this is an isolated incident and the community is not in any danger.

This incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department. 

On Saturday around 3:35 pm the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, Village of Pewaukee Police Department and Village of Menomonee Falls Police Department along with the Village of Sussex Fire Department responded to the area of the Bugline Trail and Pick n Save in the Village of Sussex for a report of shots fired. 

A 16-year-old male from Sussex was found lying in the grass on the north side of the Pick N Save parking lot with a gunshot wound. 

The scene was secured and EMS started life saving measures on the male subject.  The subject was transported by the Sussex Fire Department to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and later transported to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
