Two injured after pickup truck runs stop sign in Racine County

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were injured in a crash that happened Sunday morning in Racine County.

Deputies were called to the area of 76th Street and CTH G in the Village of Raymond around 10:11 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Operators of both vehicles were seriously injured.

A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was taken by Flight for Life to a local hospital and a 21-year-old La Crosse woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

There were no other occupants in either of their vehicles.

The investigation revealed that the 44-year-old man was driving a pickup truck on CTH G when he failed to stop for a stop sign. He then struck the 21-year-old woman who was northbound on 76th Street, deputies say.

The investigation remains ongoing.
