UPDATE: Two hurt after car hits Milwaukee DPW street sweeper

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee's Department of Public Works released the following statement about the crash involving a DPW broom operator Friday morning.

"Earlier this morning a DPW broom operator was struck by another vehicle on the corner of 27th and Lincoln. The DPW worker received non-life threatening injuries. The driver of other vehicle is in custody with injuries caused by collision."

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Two people were hurt in a crash early Friday morning.

Milwaukee Police say a car hit a street sweeper near Layton and Lincoln. The street sweeper ended up on its side.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the car was arrested on other charges.

Geez-you think the driver was drunk? Of course!! Hey MPD where are all the traffic stops with a ticket? Not the advised ones. Anybody can advise-you need to write tickets. Take the extra 5 minutes and write the ticket. Greenfield Police do not mess around so why do you coddle these idiots? Tickets!!
