Two dead in plane crash at Milwaukee's Timmerman Airport

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's office confirms that two people died after a plane crashed Wednesday evening at Timmerman Airport on Milwaukee's northwest side. Officials say the crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. Both people on board the small private plane died. 
“The accident site is located entirely within the airfield.  No one on the ground was injured during the incident.  Emergency crews (including the Milwaukee Fire Department, Milwaukee County Fire Department, and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department) responded to the incident per their training, and we appreciate their efforts in responding to and securing the site\" said Milwaukee County Department of Transportation Director Brian Dranzik said in a statement.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified and will have a team on site by Thursday morning to begin their investigation.
