Milwaukee woman charged in fake teacher case arrested again after alleged car theft
Milwaukee County Jail MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A Milwaukee woman charged with posing as a teacher to gain access to a Milwaukee high school and harassing students is back in custody after an alleged vehicle theft in Brookfield.
The Brookfield Police Department confirmed to CBS 58 that Amy Jones is accused of stealing a vehicle from a gym after allegedly using a fake name to gain access to the vehicle's keys.
Hours later, Jones was arrested following a crash in Oak Lawn, Illinois, a suburb south of Chicago.
The latest arrest comes just days after Jones appeared in Milwaukee County court in connection with the school case.
Earlier this week, a Milwaukee County court commissioner set a signature bond for Jones in that case.
Jones is accused of falsely representing herself to gain access to a Milwaukee high school before allegedly harassing students for several hours.
Additional details surrounding the alleged vehicle theft, crash and Jones' arrest were not immediately available.
