Three arrested after two county chase ends with crash in Milwaukee
On Wednesday morning around 12:30 AM, an Officer of the Hartland Police Department saw a speeding car on W. Capitol Drive. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle which fled south on Prospect Avenue and then west on Pawling Avenue when a gun was thrown from the car.
The vehicle continued north on Zion Street to West Capitol and then west to State Highway 83. The vehicle turned north on State Highway 83 and then east on Highway 16 at which time the officer lost sight of the vehicle and the pursuit ended with the subject having eluded.
A short time later a deputy of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department observed the vehicle and tried to stop it which initiated a second pursuit that the Hartland Officer eventually joined along with other Waukesha County units. The second pursuit entered east I-94 and upon reaching the area of Highway 100 the Hartland Officer terminated his role in the pursuit. Shortly thereafter, Waukesha County Sheriff terminated their role in the pursuit.
The car continued east and attempted to exit near 70th street when it collided with a semi. The four occupants of the vehicle fled. Three were taken into custody for interviews.
The driver fled and was not immediately taken into custody but has been identified.
