Two CBD stores, cafe open in Milwaukee this weekend
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) Hemp is making a big debut in Milwaukee this weekend, as a dispensary and a Hemp café opened up in the last couple of days.
Over at Hemp World CBD Café, they’re serving food, drinks, and hookah all infused with CBD Oil.
“Cookies, these bags, the hookah, It's just a really cool experience,” Hemp World CBD Cafe Customer Courtnie Miller said.
The Riverwest café opened up Friday and stayed busy throughout the weekend.
“We want everyone to fell at home, real chill vibes, real relaxed vibes,” Co-Owner of Hemp World Cafe Samia Harris said.
For some, they say Milwaukee needs more places like these to hang out, outside of the bar scene.
“This gives people a chance to meet that's not surrounded around drugs and alcohol,” Hemp World Cafe Customer Alison Brown said.
Erth Dispensary in Bayview also opened up this weekend. The owner says they had lines around the block when they opened up for the first time on Saturday. They sell CBD and hemp products to take home like hemp buds, capsules, cooking and even products for your pet.
“Lots of people come in for the pets, they have pets with arthritis or social anxiety,” Erth Dispensary Owner Jennifer Kawczynski said.
They were excited with all of the people that came in this weekend.
“I was blown away by the turn out we had,” Kawczynski said. “We were just so beyond amazed.”
CBD oil is extracted from the hemp plant. The Owner of Hemp World CBD Café said it will give you the relief, without the “high”.
“You got your full focus when you leave here,” Owner of Hemp World CBD Café Maya Mays said. “It's a body thing, that's why a lot of people use it for pain.”
Customer Alex Plyer was hanging out at the café Sunday and says he uses CBD for his anxiety and says it helps his dad who has Multiple Sclerosis.
“I think people are going to find this place really useful,” Hemp World Cafe Customer Alex Plyer said. “Whether it's just to hang out or if you're picking up some stuff to help you get through the day,”
