Trinity Irish Dancers are hot ticket at this year's Milwaukee Irish Fest

MILWAUKEE-The third day of Irish Fest turned out to be a hot one. Showers that had threatened in the forecast never materialized, instead plenty of sunshine and temperatures near the 80's.

Thousands gathered in the sweltering Saturday sun at the Aer Lingus stage to see the World Champion Trinity Irish Dancers.

Founder Mark Howard reminded the crowd that his academy was about so much more than dance.

\"These are the faces of strong, young women,\" Howard told the crowd after the coveted trophy was brought out on stage.

\"They never gave up on each other, pushed through fatigue, mental fatigue, all of it. To stand up and be counted as do the best that they could.\"

The Academy has schools throughout the region in Chicago, Madison and Milwaukee.

They have brand new, state of the arts studios in the Third Ward just feet form the Irish Fest grounds.

\"I want parents and children out there to know, we are all welcoming new members,\" Howard told CBS 58's Michele McCormack who introduced the dancers to the Irish Fest audience.
