MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The trial of a Milwaukee man accused of murdering his girlfriend and hiding her body has been pushed back.
Emily Rogers went missing in April 2022. Nicholas Matzen is accused of killing her, then hiding her body in St. Francis.
Matzen and Rogers were dating and had a child together.
She had reportedly told a friend she wanted to break up with him. Her disappearance sparked a week of searching.
Rogers' body was eventually found hidden near a retention pond nine days after she was last seen alive.
Matzen's trial was supposed to start Monday, Aug. 13, but in court Matzen's defense requested an adjournment. His trial is now scheduled to begin Dec. 9.
