Trial Ordered for Wausau Man at Center of Alleged "Pot for Gun" Trade

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- A 38-year-old Wausau man accused of trading a revolver for marijuana-- spurring an investigating that revealed a marijuana growing room and illegal mushroom growing area will head to trial.

Shane Dalbec was one of three people arrested Feb. 6 after the execution of search warrant at a home on the 700 block of 16th Avenue in Wausau. Dalbec, his girlfriend, Giannetta Pedersen, 40 and her son Casey Pedersen, 17 are charged with numerous counts including maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Wednesday, NewsChannel 7 obtained body camera video from the Wausau Police Department during the seizure of evidence. Image stills from that video can be seen in the slideshow below.

Dalbec remains behind bars on $15,000 cash bond.

Giannetta Pedersen, a counselor at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake school is on administrative leave. She's expected to learn if her case will head to trial Feb. 22. Casey Pedersen is free on bond. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 8.

Investigators said they seized 8 pounds of marijuana, 11 mature marijuana plans, 2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, and 19 firearms-- four of which investigators said had been reported stolen.
